How to set up and use the handrail installation jig
Step #1: Set the Unit onto the 3rd step from the bottom, with the vertical main beam against the 4th.
Step #2: Loosen and adjust back legs till level, then lock in place.
Step #3: Loosen and adjust the head of the unit to your desired height with the digital tape located on the front of the head then lock in place.
Step #4: Place the handrail through the cinch strap,tighten your straps, then slide jig where the handrail will be mounted.
Step #5: For carpeted or slippery surfaces adjust front stabilizer leg on top of the step you are measuring your height from
Top Unit: Set Unit on second step from the top and repeat steps 1-5
